About the exhibition

BeneFactum 2026 – International Contemporary Jewelry Exhibition, CEARCAL, Valladolid, 1–30 October 2026.

Nina Štefániková, Veronika Tamašiová and Emma Matějková, students of the Metal and Jewellery Studio at AFAD, have been selected for the second edition of BeneFactum 2026, an international exhibition of contemporary art jewellery taking place from 1 to 30 October 2026 at the Crafts Centre of Castile and León (CEARCAL) in Valladolid, Spain.

Organised by FOACAL (Federación de Organizaciones Artesanas de Castilla y León) and curated by jeweller and curator Salvador Vico Galán, the exhibition presents works by 32 artists from Europe and the Americas. The project focuses on contemporary art jewellery as an interdisciplinary artistic medium at the intersection of craft, design, material experimentation and fine art.

This year’s selection includes artists from countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Israel, Argentina, Mexico and Chile. The exhibiting artists include Nina Štefániková, Veronika Tamašiová and Emma Matějková from the Metal and Jewellery Studio at AFAD, whose work will be presented in an international context alongside established contemporary jewellery artists.

BeneFactum reflects a growing interest in original artistic work and craftsmanship. The works on display go beyond the understanding of jewellery as a decorative object, exploring themes of identity, memory, the body, materials and meaning. Jewellery becomes a carrier of personal and social stories and a platform for artistic research.

The participation of AFAD students in this event confirms the quality and international relevance of the work produced at the Metal and Jewellery Studio. It also provides a significant opportunity to present Slovak contemporary art jewellery in a broader European context.
