Dvojstrana: Nothing Ever Twice

We cordially invite you to the summer edition of the Dvojstrana series entitled Nothing Ever Twice where we will present the projects of Dana Tomečková and the 1+1+1+1=1 collective (together with Simona Gottierová and Martina Mäsiarová). The event is held in Slovak language.

  • Venue:

    • 17:00 - discussion about the book as a part of the creative process and presentation of the new book 1+1+1+1=1, AFAD courtyard
    • 18:00 - Something was about to happen, reading in the exhibition space, Medium Gallery

Dana Tomečková (*1986, Bratislava)

is a graduate from the studio S+M+L_XL - Metal and Jewellery at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. During her studies she completed a study stay at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She has participated in several residencies in Slovakia and abroad, for example the FKSE residency in Budapest or Schaubmar's Mill in Pezinok. In 2019, she presented the project 1+1+1+1=1 (curated by Beata Jablonská) together with Martina Mäsiarová and Simona Gottierová at the Medium Gallery. A solo exhibition of Dana Tomečková (curated by Erik Vilím), Note on Temporary Matter II (What must be in the air that I think something and you say it), is on view at Medium Gallery until 27 August 2023.
