The tram is the ship of the working class. At least that's how I always perceived it. It transports workers who cannot afford a car at regular times in less comfort than their own vehicle, so higher income groups often prefer to avoid it (although this principle is changing today with growing environmental awareness). Marek Štuller comes to the T3 space – a cultural vehicle precisely with the theme of work in the perhaps surprising motif of piracy. He deals with the future of work, methods and practices that can be used to solve current crises. He goes back to the perhaps lesser-known image of pirates as a group of people, affected by changes in the "labor market," who escaped unemployment and poor working conditions into a surprisingly free and much more egalitarian society.

Štuller perceives this side of their history as stimulating for our situation full of crises and transformations. The key for him is to similarly leave the vicious circle of unhealthy work, extensive production and consumerism. This mutually supportive mechanism is proving to be destructive not only to us, but also to the entire planet. The exhibition does not offer exact solutions, but it wants to expand our horizons and encourage us to do so, and we should not be afraid to become "pirates", to look for new, more sustainable ways of functioning. It reaches for pirate symbols, which it combines in the exterior object with the archetypal motif of the mast and rudder, which suggests that the direction of our future is in our own hands.
