Program of the Open Doors Day

 

We will open our doors for you in three buildings, where all departments and studios will be presented. You can learn more about them on this page.

• Intermedia roast (a critical-humorous form of Pecha-Kucha with a focus on glossing over stereotypes in the intermedia world of art, approx. 10 people).
• Reading from the publication When you find it, we will let you know (free copies will be available for those interested).
• All-day serving of sandwiches.
• Fresh coffee.

LAB (room no. 270)

• Projection of student works on TV in front of the editing room
• Classes will be held in the classroom, but visitors are welcome to look inside and ask for details about the study and subjects taught at the Department of Intermedia.

  • Please, if you would like to get acquainted with the teaching of drawing, contact the teachers first, there are nude models in the studio, who will take a break for the necessary time.

Conservation and Restoration

Studio of wooden sculpture restoration

• Consultations with students interested in studying at the department.
• Possibility to see the restoration of works.
• Samples of technological copies.

 

Studio of stone sculptures and stone elements of architecture restoration

• Possibility to see regular classes during the semester.
• Home works consultations and providing information on study options.

 

Studio of photography restoration

• Providing information about study options and admission process.
• Presentation of the reference photo collection.
• Possibility to look into teaching and restoration.
• Portfolio and home works consultations.

 

Restoration laboratory

• Interactive quiz
• Samples of historical painting pigments and their matching to key works from the history of visual arts
• Come and learn more about the colorants which are behind the creation of the most famous works of art history and the possibilities of their analysis. Try to match pigments to selected works, fibers to papers and test the tools for researching the material composition of cultural heritage objects.
