Events of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.
The Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, with its seat at Hviezdoslavovo Square 18, Bratislava, pursuant to § 77 (1) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended (hereinafter “Act No. 131/2002 Coll.”), § 6 of Act No. 552/2003 Coll. on the Performance of Work in the Public Interest, as amended (hereinafter “Act No. 552/2003 Coll.”), and § 2 (2) b) of the Rules of Selection Procedures for Filling the Positions of University Teachers, Research Staff, Professors, Associate Professors, and Senior Staff at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, announces the following:
Head of Economic Administration
Job Description
- comprehensive management of the economic administration of AFAD buildings,
- management, supervision, and organization of subordinate staff,
- cooperation with heads of departments and heads of studios,
- supervision and ensuring continuous operation, regular inspections, and repairs of technical equipment in accordance with standards and generally binding regulations, including the elimination of defects,
- coordination of activities of external suppliers in the field of building management, control and approval of price offers and invoices,
- responsibility for the operation of transportation services,
- responsibility for the efficient use of energy in entrusted premises, monitoring and recording of consumed energy,
- management, supervision, and organization of subcontractors (subcontracting business relations, procurement of material and services/works),
- preparation of budgets and price offers for maintenance and repairs,
- setting up regular and extraordinary maintenance and service operations,
- ensuring tasks in the area of cleaning, pest control, disinfection, and fumigation,
- ensuring tasks in the area of green maintenance and outdoor spaces of AFAD.
Start date: November 2025
Qualification Requirements and Criteria:
- minimum secondary education with a school-leaving exam (at least 4 years of experience in managing a team),
- knowledge of the SAP information system is an advantage,

- a dynamic personality with natural authority, communication, and organizational skills,
- ability of analytical thinking,
- responsibility, independence, accuracy, technical thinking, flexibility, assertiveness.
Required Documents for the Selection Procedure:
- application for inclusion in the selection procedure,
- curriculum vitae,
- extract from the Criminal Register – not older than 3 months,
- proof of completed education,
- written concept of the operation – management of economic administration, min. 5 pages in length.
Course of the Selection Procedure:
- discussion with the members of the committee and defense of the prepared concept.
The selection procedure will take place before a selection committee, which will evaluate its course and determine the ranking of candidates. The criteria for the ranking will be the assessment of expertise, required knowledge, personal qualifications and skills for the performance of the job, and previous work experience.
Salary Conditions:
according to Act No. 553/2003 Coll. on the Remuneration of Certain Employees in the Performance of Work in the Public Interest and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended.
