Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava pursuant to § 5 of Act no. 552/2003 Coll. on the performance of work in the public interest, as amended, announces a competition for a job:

Deadline for applications: December 31, 2024
Date of application: February 2025

  • the head of the MEDIUM Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.

Admission conditions:

  • 2nd level university education
  • ability of conceptual, managerial and organizational work,
  • knowledge of English (min. B2 according to CEF),
  • defending a written concept of professional and operational activities and development of the gallery.

Professional conditions for admission:

  • the ability to dramaturgically ensure the program and operation of the gallery according to the requirements and needs of the AFAD (VŠVU),
  • organizational skills and independence in communication with partner institutions,
  • flexibility and efficiency in gallery management,
  • the ability to develop projects for grant support for the activities and development of the gallery,
  • organize an accompanying program to the exhibitions and cultural events of the gallery,
  • organize discussion forums on current social topics,
  • independently provide PR galleries (communication with the public and the media).

General conditions of admission:

  • meeting the required professional conditions,
  • integrity,
  • submission of the required written materials,
  • participation in the competition.

The course of the selection procedure:

  • presentation of the applicant's previous professional activity (approx. 10 min.),
  • presentation of the concept of professional and operational activities and development of the gallery (approx. 15 min.),
  • discussion with the members of the commission and defense of the submitted concept (approx. 10 min.).

Applicants must attach to the application for the competition:

  • application to the EC (must contain personal data - name and surname, address, contact - e-mail, telephone exact name of the job),
  • curriculum vitae,
  • photocopies of education documents (certificate, diploma),
  • criminal record (not older than 3 months),
  • a written concept of professional and operational activities and development of the gallery.

Salary conditions:

  • according to valid legal regulations of law no. 553/2003 on the remuneration of employees in the performance of work in the public interest t. j. according to the basic scale of salary scales of employees performing work in the public interest.
