Petra Feriancová and Jaroslav Kyša’s double solo show reflects on the sense of reality and perception, tracing the irredeemable limits that characterise our understanding of what surrounds us. The works on display interrogate the boundary between subjectivity and objectivity, drawing on the tools offered by philosophy and nature to question reality.

Jaroslav Kyša works with the tools of physics to create works that evoke their negation. His intention is contained in work, often based on a paradox, an illogical situation or the creation of an unobservable phenomenon, where only a long time of perception reveals their meaning.

Drawing on Platonic philosophy, Petra Feriancová’s works are an in-situ improvisation that creates a new narrative framework around Jaroslav Kyša’s practice to manipulate the author’s original intentions. Reflecting on these slippages in sense and perspective, the dialogue between Feriancová and Kyša’s works thus accounts for the perception’s arbitrariness.
