The workshop offers an introduction to this subculture where dance, self-discovery, and confidence in movement intertwine. Monika will introduce you to the world of the ballroom scene and its categories, teach you how to walk the runway, and guide you through several key elements of the vogue dance style.

The workshop is open to everyone – no prior dance experience is required.

If possible, bring high-heeled shoes and wear something that makes you feel good and beautiful – a little more than on an ordinary day.

Monika Prikkelová is considered the mother of the Slovak ballroom scene. She founded the first Czech-Slovak kiki house – Kiki House of Velvet, has been teaching vogue for over ten years, and organizes balls (Ball of Shame). She leads the art agency mondance and reached the finals of Czech and Slovak Got Talent (2018) with the light-dance show Tron Girls. She has also collaborated with the Slovak National Theatre – on Fashion Ballet 2023 with Lacko Cmorej and in the production Declaration of Dependencies, for which she created a solo for Gabika Dzúriková.
