In the field of humanities, processes have been underway for a long time, which the Swedish environmental historian Sverker Sörlin called the “environmental turn”. In various disciplines, water and air are beginning to be considered as “environmentalizing media” that touch us, in which we travel, breathe and drink. We observe analogous developments in the artistic disciplines.
