Medium_35: Jana Kapelová
In 2026 Medium Gallery celebrates its 35th anniversary as a part of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava! On this occasion we have prepared in the premises of the former artshop by the entrance to the gallery a new project called Medium_35. Medium_35 introduces throughout 2026 self-curated selection from libraries of twelve personalities of the AFAD who have a special relationship with the gallery and according to criteria they will choose on their own.
In February exhibits the books and catalogues that were loaned to her (and are ready for a personal and personalized pick-up) and simultaneously, she gives some catalogues away for the public a visual artist Jana Kapelová, who teaches at the Department of Intermedia a leads a studio there. Jana is also former director of Medium Gallery and had a solo show last year at the gallery. Each selection will be accompanied by a short video about what you will have a chance to see at the galery and what kind of relationship do our congratulators have with our gallery.
