Medium_35: Alexandra Kadlečík Smolková
In 2026 Medium Gallery celebrates its 35th anniversary as a part of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava! On this occasion we have prepared in the premises of the former artshop by the entrance to the gallery a new project called Medium_35. Medium_35 introduces throughout 2026 self-curated selection from libraries of twelve personalities of the AFAD who have a special relationship with the gallery and according to criteria they will choose on their own.

In April will be on view analogue and digital library of Alexandra Kadlečík Smolková, the technical assistant of the Medium Gallery (currently on maternity leave). Alexandra is a visual artist and an ArtD. student at the Department of Sculpture, Object, Installation of the AFAD. She studied archaeology and her current artistic research deals with intersections of film and sculpture. Each selection will be accompanied by a short video about what you will have a chance to see at the galery and what kind of relationship do our congratulators have with our gallery.
