AFAD:inside – Art course at AFAD for high school students

After a successful pilot course, we are continuing in the summer semester! The art course takes place directly on the premises and under the guidance of the AFAD pedagogical teams. Registration is open to youth aged 15 to 17.

If you are interested in taking a look at the VŠVU studios, trying out various art techniques and at the same time developing your own way of artistic expression, join us! VŠVU:inside is intended for high school students with an interest in visual art and a desire to broaden their horizons; previous experience is not a prerequisite. In a relaxed, yet expertly led atmosphere, you will learn about contemporary art approaches. The course develops critical thinking, visual literacy and encourages discussion.

How does it work? During 12 meetings, we will visit several studios across the departments of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design and complete a short series of workshops in each. During the winter semester, we completed workshops at the Department of Photography and New Media, Architectural Design, Digital Arts and the Drawing Department. More are waiting for us this semester!
