Support and Counseling Center for Students of AFAD in Bratislava

The AFAD Support and Counseling Center is a workplace that helps students get the most out of their studies and provides them with comprehensive support during their studies and during their transition into practice.

The AFAD Support and Counseling Center is a workplace that helps students get the most out of their studies and provides them with comprehensive support during their studies and during their transition into practice.

The period of university study is one of the most intense periods of personal, spiritual and professional growth. We, the AFAD staff, and the Ministry of Education, which provided support for the project, are aware of this. The new center wants to be Your partner and guide to the challenges that you will inevitably encounter during your studies.

What can you find here?

The center and its website reflect are structured around 2 areas of questions that you can contact us with. One section is devoted to more personal questions, the other section is devoted to profession related questions and is linked to the course of your study and transition to practice. You can find more information directly on the page of each section.

In both sections, however, you will find for one the opportunity to arrange a personal consultation, and secondly a growing database of resources and materials that you can use yourself. Whether it concerns methods of effective work with time, clarification of personal priorities and help with orientation in the study, or contacts for immediate, acute help in crisis situations.

Our goal is to contribute to the expansion of understanding, the range of skills and tools that will be available to you, the students of AFAD, not only during your studies, but also in later life.

How can you, the students of our school, improve the center?

We would very much welcome if you share with us what topics interest you and which things are a challenge for you in terms of study, professional and personal growth.

Write your suggestions to the email address of the center  secretary, , sometimes we will also invite you to share them in the comments under our posts on school social networks.

Because the time of us all is limited, we will take into account which topics you consider to be the most pressing and we will gradually process them. We will comment on some of the topics depending on their relevance in terms of course of the academic year, as different things may bother us during the enrollment period as at the time of completion of the term projects, or at the time of submission of applications for exchanges and internships.

However, if your question is acute in nature, we will welcome you to a personal consultation – a consultation with Martin Šarkan and a consultation with Tomáš Jančařík
