Internships
Long-term work experience of a student in an external environment
Internship
20 credits
The term Internship refers to a long-term working experience undertaken by a student in the external environment of the school. The focus of the internship depends on the type of the study program. For example students of design and virtual communication can undertake internship in design studios of various companies, car manufacturers, advertising agencies, students of architecture in architectural studios or students of restoration in restoration workshops and so on. Admission to the Internship is assigned by the head of the studio and a particular department. An application can be downloaded from the academy web page. In case of a specific internship, which is not yet listed in the portfolio, such an internship and the admission to it is assigned in coordination between the Department and the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs. The internship is a full replacement for the Studio. The student is not allowed to be in the employment relationship with the institution which he/she is applying an internship to. Credits and evaluation will be assigned by the head of the Studio only if the company the student has undertaken internship in, will write an evaluation report about his/her activity confirming the length of time allocated for internship admission /unless stated otherwise/ i.e. minimum of 13 weeks and 20 hours per week. The report must be deposited in student’s personal file at the study department.
