Workplace established for the purpose of research and its coordination in the field of visual culture and art.

The VŠVU Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the VŠVU CV) was established in 2001, with the original name of the Institute of Arts and Sciences (IUV), as an active innovative tool improving the research environment of the school, with an emphasis on the development of art and science. intensification of the educational process.

The CV of the VŠVU, which falls under the authority of the Vice-Rector for Research and Artistic Activities, is currently divided into two organizational units - the Section of Visual and Cultural Studies and the Coordinator of the Research Center. The main mission of the CV VŠVU consists mainly in the implementation and coordination of research in the field of culture and art, as well as in the development of publishing activities of VŠVU. It participates in ensuring the conceptual and methodological preparation and implementation of presentations of study results, artistic and research projects and other activities of the school. It also methodically manages the process of institutional co-financing of scientific research and artistic projects.

Council of the Research Center

The advisory body of the Vice-Rector for Research and Artistic Activity is the Council of the VŠVU Research Center, which is appointed by the Rector on a proposal from the Rector for a period of four years. Its main functions include participation in creating a long-term vision of the direction and activities of the CV VŠVU, monitoring the quality level and status of implementation of research projects, as well as approving the VŠVU publishing plan.
