Structure of semester study programme

Students will receive basic information regarding their AFAD study programme at the Orientation Day, which takes places regularly at the beginning of each semester with the participation of representatives of the individual departments, the Vice – Rector for International Cooperation, and the Institutional Coordinator. The student selects courses from his/her study programme:

Compulsory course:

Main Studio:

10 hours/week, earning 7 – 15 credits according to the current year or semester of studies (details are included in the table section of the Study Programmes – Courses)

Theory Course: 

Selected Chapters from Slovak Modern and Contemporary Visual Art (academic staff of the Theory and History of Art Dpt.), 2hours/week, earning 5credits

Optional course:

Supplementary Studio:

5 hours/week, earning 5 credits

Preparatory Course:

8 hours/week, earning 5 credits (Winter semester),5 credits (Spring semester)

We recommend taking a preparatory course to students who want to try to work in different media than is their specialization.

Drawing:

3 – 5 hours/week, earning 4 – 5 credits

Professional Courses:

2 – 5 hours/week, earning 2 – 5 credits
