Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Hviezdoslavovo nám. 18, 814 37, announces in accordance with the Rules of the selection procedure for filling the positions of university teachers, artistic and research workers, the positions of professors and assistant professors and the positions of senior staff of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, which came into force on 11 July 2005, the selection procedure for filling a vacant position:

Bursar of AFAD

Admission conditions:

  • Second-level university education,
  • 10 years of experience in the field of finance or a related field, of which at least 5 years of experience in a management position,
  • knowledge of economic processes (budget, accounting, reporting) and public procurement,
  • knowledge of the relevant legislation and professional competence in the preparation of internal guidelines and comment procedures,
  • to be aware of the agenda in terms of the Freedom of Information Act,
  • managerial skills and the ability to cooperate with other departments of the school, as well as the external environment of the school,
  • integrity,
  • knowledge of a foreign language is welcome,
  • experience of working in an academic environment is welcome,
  • knowledge of the SAP information system is welcome

Required documentation for the selection procedure:

  • application for inclusion in the selection process (motivation letter),
  • curriculum vitae,
  • extract from the criminal record - not older than 3 months,
  • proof of completed education,
  • a written concept of the activities of the bursar and the operation of the departments under the bursar

The course of the selection procedure:

  • presentation of the activities of the bursar and of the departments under the bursar (approx. 10 min.),
  • discussion with committee members and defense of the presented concept

Job description:

  • Ensuring the continuity of work when setting up the economic and administrative operation of a public university, managing a team of approx. 30 members
  • Ensuring administrative activity and methodical management of departments under the bursar
  • Responsibility for compliance with legal regulations, budget, payroll and financial discipline.
  • Control of all financial operations in accordance with the Act on Financial Control
  • Responsibility for the preparation of the draft annual budget, salary funds and the proposal for their distribution, monitoring the budgets of individual workplaces
  • Preparation of annual reports of AFAD
  • Project management of upcoming legislative changes in collaboration with the university management
  • Distribution of subsidies from the MŠVVaŠ SR to AFAD
  • Monitoring other funding sources
  • Complete agenda in terms of the Act on Free Access to Information
  • Communication with the superior body MŠVVaŠ SR
  • Preparation of documents for the superior authority for the subsidy breakdown
  • Elaboration of the documents for the subsidy breakdown for the Academic Board and the Academic Senate of AFAD and its defense
  • Preparation of management documents for the Board of Directors and the Academic Senate of AFAD and its defense
  • Preparation of documents for the management of AFA on the state of finances
  • Decision-making activities in the field of finance
  • Convene regularly - at least once per calendar month - a working meeting of the sections he manages
  • Continuously ensure changes on the AFAD website for the sections the bursar manages
  • Conduct collective bargaining on behalf of AFAD as an employer with employee representatives for the purpose of concluding a Collective Agreement
  • To participate in meetings of the management, college of AFAD, as well as other working meetings of AFAD, or those meetings to which the AFAD rector sends him.

Salary conditions:

according to valid legal regulations of law no. 553/2003 on the remuneration of employees in the performance of work in the public interest t. j. according to the basic scale of salary scales of employees performing work in the public interest (in the range according to the tariff class - salary classification and years worked from EUR 1283,– to EUR 1539.50/month + personal surcharge)
