Selection procedure – assistant professor
The Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, located at Hviezdoslavovo nám. 18, Bratislava, in accordance with § 77(1) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Higher Education Act"), announces a selection procedure for filling the positions of higher education teachers in the functional position of Assistant Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, as follows:
Department of Sculpture, Object, and Installation
University lecturer in the position of Assistant Professor for teaching specialized subjects focused on sculpture, object, and installation media: Metal Processing Technologies (casting, welding), overseeing metal realizations with possible application in studio assignments and 3D technologies within the study program Intermedia (specialization in sculpture) in the field of Art at the Bachelor's level and the study program Visual Arts (specialization in sculpture) in the field of Art at the Master's level, assigned to the Department of Sculpture, Object, and Installation.

Qualification Requirements
- Completed third-level higher education in the relevant field, or ongoing doctoral studies (after passing the dissertation examination)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Defense of a written concept of teaching.
Required Documentation for the Selection Process:
- Application – a written request for participation in the selection process, including consent for the processing of personal data in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection and amendments to certain laws. The application must include: personal details – name, surname, address, contact information (email, phone), and the exact job title the candidate is applying for.

- Structured CV* (including name and surname, but WITHOUT personal data and photograph),
- Officially certified copy of diplomas for second and third-level higher education,
- Extract from the criminal record not older than 3 months,
- Written concept of teaching,
- Brief portfolio of artistic or scientific activities,
- Overview of teaching experience (length of teaching practice, names of taught subjects, etc.),
- Overview of artistic, professional, and publishing activities (if possible, documented by an extract from CREUČ and CREPČ),
- Written concept of teaching in both printed and electronic form,
- Declaration of other employment relationships with universities based in Slovakia and abroad, including the weekly working hours (for proving compliance with §74(5) of the Higher Education Act),

All documents must be submitted in both printed and electronic form (on a USB drive).
For internal employees, it is sufficient to provide a copy of the diploma without official certification.
Salary Conditions:
According to applicable legal regulations of Act No. 553/2003 on the remuneration of employees in public interest, i.e., based on a special salary scale for university teachers.
Job Description:
The expected job description is in accordance with §75 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions as amended.

- The filling of the specified job position is carried out in accordance with the approved number and structure of job positions at VŠVU.
- The selection process evaluates the candidate’s abilities and expertise necessary or suitable for the nature of the duties to be performed in the given job position or function.
- The required documentation for the selection process, including the application, must be submitted in Slovak. Documents proving education, academic, artistic, and scientific titles must be officially certified and translated into Slovak if issued in another country (except for documents issued in Czech).
*The structured professional CV of the selected candidate and unsuccessful candidates will be published on the faculty’s website within 5 working days after the selection process for a period of 90 days, in accordance with §77(7) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions.
