Selection procedure – 5x assistant professor
The Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, located at Hviezdoslavovo nám. 18, Bratislava, in accordance with § 77(1) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Higher Education Act"), announces a selection procedure for filling the positions of higher education teachers in the functional position of Assistant Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, as follows:
Department of Theory and History of Art
- University teacher in the position of assistant professor for teaching theoretical subjects focusing on the history and theory of visual arts, history and theory of architecture in the study programs in the field of Art at the Bachelor's degree, in the study programs in the field of Art at the Master's degree, and in the study program History and Practice of Contemporary Art in the field of Art and Culture Studies at the Master's degree, assigned to the Department of Theory and History of Art.
- University teacher in the position of assistant professor at 50% employment rate for teaching theoretical subjects focused on moving image and the intersections of visual arts and cinematography, and for teaching subjects focused on the management of artistic and scientific-artistic festivals and events in the study programs in the field of Art at the Bachelor's degree, in the study programs in the field of Art at the Master's degree, and in the study program History and Practice of Contemporary Art in the field of Art and Culture Studies at the Master's degree, assigned to the Department of Theory and History of Art.
Department of Sculpture, Object, Installation
- University teacher in the position of assistant professor for leading the subject Studio of Free Sculpture and for teaching specialized subjects focused on media of sculpture, object, and installation in the study program Intermedia (specialization in sculpture) in the field of Art at the Bachelor's degree and in the study program Visual Arts (specialization in sculpture) in the field of Art at the Master's degree, assigned to the Department of Sculpture, Object, Installation.
Department of Photography
- University teacher in the position of assistant professor for leading the subject Preparatory Course in Photography in the study program Photography and New Media in the field of Art, assigned to the Department of Photography and New Media.
Department of Restoration
- University teacher in the position of assistant professor for leading the subject Laboratory of Wall Painting Restoration and for teaching specialized subjects in the study program Restoration Creation at both the Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the field of Art, assigned to the Department of Restoration.

Qualifications Required
- Higher education at the second or third level in the relevant study field,
- At least 3 years of teaching experience (including doctoral study),
- Submission of a written concept of teaching.

- Application – written request for participation in the selection process, including consent for processing personal data in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data and Amendments to Certain Laws. The application must include: personal data – name, surname, address, contact – email, phone, and the exact title of the position the candidate is applying for.

- Structured Curriculum Vitae* (including name and surname without personal data or photograph),
- Officially verified copy of the diploma of higher education at the second or third level,
- Criminal record extract not older than 3 months,
- Written concept of teaching,
- Brief portfolio of artistic or scientific activity,
- Overview of teaching activity (length of teaching experience, names of subjects taught, etc.),
- Overview of artistic, professional, and public activity (if possible, verified by CREUČ and CREPČ records),
- Overview of artistic-scientific professional and public activity (if possible, verified by CREUČ and CREPČ records),
- Declaration of other employment relationships with higher education institutions within Slovakia or abroad, as well as employment agreements for university teachers and researchers, including details about weekly working hours (for verification under § 74, Section 5 of the Higher Education Act).
- Consent to the processing of personal data.

All documents must be submitted in both printed and electronic form (on USB flash drive).
For internal employees, official verification of educational documents is not required, a copy of the educational document is sufficient.
Salary Conditions:
According to the applicable legal regulations of Act No. 553/2003 on the Remuneration of Employees in Public Service, i.e., according to the special scale of salary tariffs for university teachers.
Employment Type:
Expected employment terms in accordance with § 75 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education, as amended.
*Structured professional curriculum vitae of the selected candidate and unsuccessful candidates will be published within 5 working days after the selection process on the faculty’s website for 90 days in accordance with § 77, Section 7 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and Amendments to Certain Laws.
