The Fourth Studio

The Fourht Studio was established at the Department of Paintings and Other Media in 2001. It is a special painting studio reflecting on new trends in painting following after year 2000 with full acceptance of the existence of digital technologies and with using their tools. The focus is put purely on painting, with no overlaps into conceptual realizations.

The study in the Fourth Studio is based on individual programmes of students, it is conducted at three levels. The programme of the Studio includes also non-school activities – participation in exhibitions, symposia and workshops either in Slovakia or abroad. Students of the Studio are actively involved in activities happening on the scene of art.
