Gallery of the SLOVAK PRESS PHOTO Foundation
Zichy Palace, 2nd floor
Ventúrska 9, Bratislava
The exhibition is a small visual introspection into the period marked by the invasion of the occupation forces into czechoslovakia in 1968, which resulted in normalisation. The consolidation of the communist power was accompanied by the suppression of democratisation and reform processes in societ y and its overall stagnation. Each photographer captured this period in a specific way, with a special understanding and perception of this unfree world. The exhibition opening will be accompanied by a discussion with the authors.
The exhibition is on view till September 15, 2018. The gallery is open to public on wednesdays from 1pm To 5pm and on thursdays from 1pm to 6pm.
