Jana Kapelová's (1982) artistic practice is in many ways on the way to freedom motivated desire to make the conditions of personal life, but also artistic operation more acceptable. She is interested in strategies of individual but mostly unreflected resistance to work frustration, to routine and killing aspects of education, work, free time and the resulting alienation. It encourages reflection that could lead to disturbing established thinking or overcoming passive surrender. Hers frequent tools are dialogue, analysis and reconstruction of social situations.
