What are housing possibilities in Bratislava?

The Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava (AFAD) does not have a student’s accommodation facility of its own. It may, however, offer a limited number of places in the facility of the Slovak Technical University (STU) in the students hall of residence (ŠD) SVORADOV, Svoradova (Street) 13, 811 03 Bratislava. The priority is given to Erasmus and CEEPUS students, only in case of free capacity other applicants could be accepted (the information is available after beginning of the academic year) The students’ hall of residence offers very simple and reasonably priced accommodation but has the benefit of a favourable location. It is located in the very historical centre of the city in the vicinity of the Bratislava Castle. The trolley bus station is close to the residence hall. Buses can take students to the school buildings in Drotárska cesta 44 and in Koceľova Street 23 within about 10 -15 minutes. A ten minutes' walk can take students to the school building in Hviezdoslavovo Square 18.

Accommodation is provided:
from September 1 to January 31 in winter semester
from February 1 to June 30 in summer semester

The Accomodation fee per 1 semester is 5,000 SKK (approximately 140 EUR).

Other options:
Insofar as the interest of students often exceeds our housing capacities, the Academy of Fine Arts can mediate accommodation in a facility – Hotely Plus, Bulharská 72, which is around 30 minutes away from the city centre by trolley bus. The price per 1 bed in a double room is circa 2,800 SKK.
