International student

Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD) is a present-day-oriented and dynamic European school open to students from the entire world. AFAD is fully accredited as university within the Slovak education system, providing complex bachelor’s and master’s study programmes in the fields of Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, and Restoration. In addition, its third-level study programme includes the History And Theory Of Fine Arts and Architecture discipline.
International students wishing to study temporarily at AFAD have a wide range of possibilities to choose from – one-semester or full-year study stays within the framework of various European and non-European mobility programmes, specially created study-abroad programmes, cooperation arrangements between university networks, summer schools and so on.

Exchange Mobility/Freemovers

Exchange Mobility – study under the ERASMUS+ or CEEPUS programmes, and on the basis of a bilateral cooperation with partner institutions. Feemovers – study at a university in another country, usually for a semester, sometimes for a year, outside of any regular or standard programme.
